I began this painting in an in-person workshop with Leya Evelyn, years ago. At the time it was larger than anything I’d done. I liked it though I knew it needed more. It was very different than what I’d been doing and I didn’t quite understand it. It was puzzling. This is a good thing. The painting gets out ahead of my understanding. I knew enough to put it aside. When I took it out this time I knew just what to do.

Some enlarged sections of this painting. Enjoy.
